Rabbit Farm, Bukit Tinggi, Pahang

Location : Berjaya Hill, Bukit Tinggi, Pahang

rabbit farm is another attraction of bukit tinggi. the entrance fee to the rabbit park is rm3/person. free for child under 2. when u buy the entrance ticket at the counter, make sure u buy the rabbit feed at rm1.50/packet.

this is the open area for the rabbits. u can touch and play and feed the rabbits. there is another area for newborn rabbits, which are quarantine and u can't feed them.

"feed me..!"

there are also donkeys in the rabbit farm. but not all are truly donkeys. if i'm not mistaken, there is only a donkey at the time we went there. the others are the half-breed of horse and donkey. so the horse+donkey have nicer fur than the original donkey but the hair isn't as nice as a horse have.

this is Simon, Sofea, and the last one i didn't remember (sorry! ;p)

kids below 50kg can also try to ride this half-breed horse/donkey.

a male deer have antlers that are shed and regrown every year from a structure called a pedicle. Antlers grow as highly vascular spongy tissue covered in a skin called velvet. Before the beginning of a species' mating season, the antlers calcify under the velvet and become hard bone. The velvet is then rubbed off leaving dead bone which forms the hard antlers. After the mating season, the pedicle and the antler base are separated by a layer of softer tissue, and the antler falls off.

This is the antler of the (above picture) deer that have fall down during last mating season.

beside rabbits, deer and donkeys, there were also flamingos, Billy the goat and tortoises. It's fun to bring the kids here. Even the adults enjoy being with the animals.
