Things to do in Cherating

As in my previous post on The Legend Resort Cherating, I'd mentioned a few places you can visit and some fun activities to do around Cherating, besides the non-stop awing to the beautiful beach and swimming in the clear sea water. So here's the experiences that I gained on my 3 days trip.

Visit Turtle Santuary and Information Centre and released baby turtles

First of all, please please please spend some of your precious time visiting the Turtle Sanctuary and Information Center in Cherating. The turtle sanctuary is a protected area, managed by the Department of Fisheries Malaysia with the cooperation of the Pahang State Government. At the sanctuary, you'll get a lot of information on turtle awareness and take note that this is important in a way to help saving sea turtles from extinction. Besides the video shows and information, the turtle sanctuary also offers turtle hatching and releasing hatchling to the sea programmes.

Toy Museum, Penang

Location : in front of Copthorne Orchid Hotel, at Jalan Tanjung Bungah (on the way to Feringgi) The museum had been moved to Teluk Bahang (updated on 3 October 2013)

The Toy Museum is a must-visit place either for little kids or teenage or even adults. this is the largest toy museum in the word and 1st in Asia! The entrance fee for adult is RM10 and RM6 for children is, for me, a reasonable price and worth for seeing over 100,000 toys, dolls and collectibles in such special museum.

Passion for toys is where it all begins, says the proud owner Loh Lean Cheng of his collections. He was inspired with toys collection after visiting the London Toy and Model Museum at the age of 19. For the past 30 years - starting from the first toy that he bought in 1973 at 0.5 pound (Popeye), his collection just keeps on growing & growing. Today, almost everything that you ever think of (on toys) can be found here.

The wall of the museum is creatively decorated with the famous ancient Egyptian monument such as the Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza.

What's inside?

From the smallest to the biggest toy - Spiderman, Batman, the Power Rangers, X-Men, X-Files, Tarzan, The Simpsons, Dragon Ball, Winnie the Pooh, Barney, Snoopy, Bananas in Pyjamas, Dalmations, Toy Story, Garfield, Barbie, Ninja Turtles, Powerpuff girls, Mickey, Brother Bear, Stich,...

...and actor/actress/singers little creatures - Bruce Lee, Andy Lau, Jackie Chan, The Beatles, Mr.Bean, Kiss, Britney Spears, N'Sync Christina Aguilera & Michael Jackson.

Life-size : Superheroes - Spiderman, superman, batman - Captain Jack Sparrow, Lara Croft, Transformers, Star Wars characters....

what else u want to see? just name it!
seriously u will be crazy once u step inside the museum.

The entrance fee:
Adult = RM10
Children = RM6

Open daily from 10.00am to 9.00pm.

p/s: pics are mix from 2 or 3 different visits here.
p/s: i've been here for.. er.. 4 or 5 times in the last 4 years, maybe. and i want to come again!! i likeeeee....

Teluk Batik, Perak

Teluk Batik Beach is located at the west coast of the state of Perak, about 6.5 km away from the town of Lumut. This beach is one of the most popular beaches among the locals as it is accessible by cars. There are ample of parking bays available and this beach is crowded during public holidays and weekends. It is a nice beach to have a picnic with family and swim.

Tyre tubes, chairs and boats are some of the facilities available for rent at the beach. The restrooms where you can wash up and take your shower after a swim in the sea is quite clean compare to some other places.

nice and clean sand

There are also a lot of shop where you can buy souvenirs, tshirts and also sea-products here. Food stalls are also available here if u are hungry after swimming and playing around the beach.
